I managed to catch a good portion of Rush Limbaugh's speech being televised at the CPAC (Conservative Political Action Committee) conference, and as usual the man knocked it right out of the ballpark at every swing. He knows exactly what it is going to take to get this great country of ours 'back in the game' again and thriving economically, and it matched my sentiments point-for-point:
1.) The constantly-present malady of POLITICAL CORRECTNESS, which basically causes people to tiptoe around society with their hand clapped over their mouth in case they accidentally say something that may offend another person...because of their race, upbringing, socio-economic status, whatever. You know what? The Bible instructs us---as Christians---to err on the side of caution when it comes to actions around our fellow man. That little 'twinge' in your stomach that you feel, as you get ready to tell that joke to your buddy at work? That's what the world calls your "conscience"---actually the Holy Spirit of God---yelling at you to STOP! That joke is going to hurt that person's feelings! That is going to offend them, make them feel like they can't trust you when they really, really need someone to talk to. There are a whole lot of folks that I work around that joke about stuff, carry on, laugh---makes the long day go by a bit more smoothly. Hey, I do the same---I just make darn sure that what I'm saying is not going to hurt someone's feelings within earshot. Why? Well, I CARE about other people. "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Hello??? You ARE "your brother's keeper"! Do what is right in the Lord God's eyes, and you can't go wrong.
2.) What Conservatives are? They are people who love other people! They love people, and don't look out on the nation of the United States and the world and see special groups, ideologies, race or 'victims'; they see potential, ingenuity, spirit, faith, strength, individualism, and the list goes on and on. Conservatives want people to succeed, to prosper, to have their dreams come true; they don't tell people how they have to live and they don't hate anybody. They don't go around spreading lies and rumors and fear to the masses so that they will be afraid to even walk out their door to go to work, or too depressed to go to work because of those who are screaming "THE SKY IS FALLING!" on every news network out there. Yes, realistically, our nation is in a huge mess economically, but IT CAN BE FIXED! How? By cutting taxes! Which leads me to point three, which is---
3.)---The "powers that be" are nothing more than a bunch that wants absolute POWER over you, and are nefariously greedy and self-serviant. They, the Democrats, Obama and his picks, believe wholeheartedly that you, the masses, are stupid, can't do anything for yourselves, and need Uncle Sam to wipe your bottom, diaper you and give you num-num in your bottle. They also LIKE you to behave that way, if you choose to want The Gov to give you everything, instead of work for it---then the government can and WILL control you, your family, your friends, and every activity that you engage in. Don't think so? Look at Bulgaria, Russia, China, North Korea, the UK---which is to the point where they are just about under Sharia ( Muslim) Law and all heck is breaking loose over there. Barak Obama, Nancy Pelosi and the Bunch are going to do everything BUT cut taxes---they want your money, all of it if they can get it---and then put you on an allowance. These people aren't just in power because of control, it's because money also brings power, and they can do whatever they want, when they want, to whoever they want to do it to. Don't give them control over you! Our Founding Fathers built this nation on the solid-rock foundation of the Bible, and the government to be "Of the People, By the People, and For the People, that We May Not Perish From the Earth." How will the American people perish? By a government that has "absolute power", which we all know "corrupts absolutely". Rush reminded that the office of the President of the United States is a temporary stewardship, not an office where the occupant looks to launch their own ideology, remake the nation in their own image, and tries to radically change the laws so that the people are 'subjects' instead of citizens of "A More Perfect Union".
4.) Barak Obama is a very talented, very intelligent, very articulate person, but he is using those gifts to harm and subdue rather than to cherish and build up. It is the ideology and the belief system in which he was brought up, which from what has been gathered thus-far (having to pull all the camouflage and subterfuge away) was mainly radical Islam mixed with communism in his formative years, with a prodigious 20-year helping of Black Liberation Theology under the Reverend Wright (Wrong!). Oh, I'm sorry---he said he didn't absorb any of the teachings, so that's not relevant. Mr. Obama touts that he is a Christian, but the Bible teaches that "a tree is known by its fruit"; his apple tree is producing lemons, coconuts, bananas, hawthorn berries and Catuaba worms. As Christians, we are told by the Lord to pray for our leaders; yes, I find it very, very difficult to pray for a man and those that he has selected, who want to destroy everything that the United States stands for and is great for, and calls the Constitution, the Amendments and the thoughts of our Founding Fathers "old, worn out ideology" and "words, just words". But I will pray for him and his staff, because God will hear the prayers and act upon them to cause real "change and hope" to happen. I also add to my prayers that God will also protect us and our great nation from Obama's reckless agenda in the mean time.
5.) Poverty. The Democrats' way of 'helping'? Entitlements, enabling. You don't have to work for it, we'll just give it to you. That's via Welfare, Unemployment Insurance. You don't have the intelligence to get job skills through vocational or educational schooling, to go out and work a job and then advance to a better job, and be responsible and take care of your family by yourself. No, no, no---we'll do it. Keep the poor beat down, depressed, thinking that they 'just don't have what it takes'....so they won't dare try! "Heck," the Democrats are saying, "If they think they can go out, qualify for a grant or a loan, get an education, work a job and support their families themselves---we can't control them!" No, and they shouldn't even be thinking such things, but they certainly are. The United States as it is right now is just like the nation of Bulgaria was, and they lost their freedom to ineptitude and laziness.
6.) Education in public schools is not education, but indoctrination. What's left is being dumbed-down to the point that students are graduating from high school not even knowing how to balance a checkbook or write a complete sentence. God is thrown out of the schools and replaced with a poster of monkeys following each other into the final result of modern man--evolution. Or maybe we were all amoebas first! Well, sometimes we get treated like we're nothing more than pond scum, but hey that's the whole point---socialism telling you that you began small, and you'll end small---and you have to have someone to take care of you and make sure the right decisions are made for you. HOGWASH! I can't leave out the spectacle of global warming, which the powers that be say that will force the elimination of livestock farms (eating meat) to save the planet. As well as no oil or gas drilling, no coal mining....only solar panels, wind turbines, and your good ol' feet pounding the pavement. Yes, you can ride a bike to work or school, but if it's 46 miles to school----you are going to be mighty, mighty put-out by the time you arrive to work. And it's 46 miles back home in the dark, hoping that 18-wheeler doesn't make you a greasy spot on the median. And the cost of all the new energy-efficient or hybrid / alternative energy-powered vehicles? Too much for the average person, so only the rich will have them. The Word of God tells us that the "rich will be given more, but even the little that the poor have will be taken away."
Beloved, I thoroughly enjoyed listening and learning, as well as reaffirming, as Rush Limbaugh laid it all flat on the table of the American people and said, 'Here's what's going on, here's where we're headed, and this is what YOU can do about it.' Make your voices heard. Vote, Email, write, and organize demonstrations against the blatantly anti-freedom, anti-people, anti-God agenda of the current administration. Stand with the Lord.
